May 28, 2011 – Austin, TEXAS

AwiaTech Corporation, an Austin based WirelessHART solution provider, and Fieldbus International AS (Fint), Oslo based FSK HART solution provider, today announced they have teamed up to form a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the firms’  capabilities to serve HART device manufacturers. Under the terms of the partnership, the firms will work together to provide clients with a comprehensive HART solution including the design and development of FSK HART, Device Description and WirelessHART devices.

The partnership between AwiaTech and Fieldbus International is aimed at small and medium-sized companies that are interested in building WirelessHART devices.  In addition to a WirelessHART module, they frequently need an FSK HART module and a Device Description that are customized to their device requirements. This partnership teams two of the industry’s best at achieving seamless integration and high quality of HART devices.

“This partnership addresses an acute need for many of our clients,” says Dr. Alex Feng, CEO of AwiaTech.  “We provide our clients with a world-class WirelessHART product line including the network stack, gateway and network manager. But it isn’t always enough.  Many of our clients need help developing FSK HART and Device Description to fulfill the rigorous registration requirements by the HART Communication Foundation. Fint brings over 25 years’ experience in fieldbus technology and their FSK HART services greatly complement our capabilities to these clients. Our partnership with Fint delivers a proven HART7 solution to device manufacturers. Together, we offer a comprehensive HART solution that addresses the HART device development needs.”

“We are very pleased to have partnered with AwiaTech,” says Halvor Landet, CEO of Fint.   “This is a peanut butter and chocolate kind of partnership – both companies are better together.  We look forward to better serving HART device manufacturers by allowing them to focus on the sensor technology, which is what they are best at, and by greatly shortening the time-to-market of their HART products.”
